We provide independent corporate finance advice to companies and creditors in difficult and complex situations. This involves crisis management and contingency planning, balance sheet refinancing and restructuring and the acquisition and disposal of distressed businesses.
We offer hands-on advice to companies to manage all aspects of the financial restructuring process, providing senior management with ongoing support so they can focus on maximising the operational performance of their business. We can also find new sources of finance to support businesses with short-term funding issues when funding from traditional sources is unavailable.
We understand the requirements of creditor groups, from secondary market investors to par lenders, and specialise in identifying points of negotiating leverage which enable our clients to optimise the restructuring outcome. This extends to pension trustees to ensure beneficiaries are fairly compensated in any proposed corporate activity that may affect their pension schemes.
Most notably this includes advising companies and creditors on value-maximising restructuring solutions. We are Europe's leading independent restructuring adviser, as recently voted by Acquisitions Monthly magazine, which awarded us Restructuring Adviser of the Year Award and Restructuring Deal of the Year 2008. This is the fifth consecutive year that Close Brothers has received industry awards for it restructuring advice.
