We advise companies, creditors, shareholders and other stakeholder groups facing challenging and complex financial conditions. Most notably this includes advising on value-maximising restructuring solutions. Our advice extends to situations where companies need to reconfigure and optimise their capital structure or access alternative sources of finance; where there is a risk of banking covenants being breached or a payment default; or scenarios where a company's debt is trading at distressed levels.
We offer hands-on advice to companies to manage all aspects of the financial restructuring process, providing senior management with ongoing support so they can focus on maximising the operational performance of their business. We can also find new sources of finance to support businesses with short-term funding issues when funding from traditional sources is unavailable.
We understand the requirements of creditor groups, from secondary market investors to par lenders, and specialise in identifying points of negotiating leverage which enable our clients to optimise the restructuring outcome. This extends to pension trustees to ensure beneficiaries are fairly compensated in any proposed corporate activity that may affect their pension schemes.
We are Europe's leading independent restructuring adviser, as recently voted by Acquisitions Monthly magazine, which awarded us Restructuring Adviser of the Year Award and Restructuring Deal of the Year 2008. This is the fifth consecutive year that Close Brothers Corporate Finance has received industry awards for it restructuring advice.
